5 mei antifascistische demonstratie Utrecht

Dinsdag 5 mei om 18 uur op het Domplein in Utrecht organiseren we een antifascistische demonstratie om Bevrijdingsdag terug te pakken.

Het idee is om een wandelende demonstratie te organiseren en bij het eindpunt ruimte te bieden voor soep, eten en stands. Fascisme, racisme en autoritarisme is een wereldwijd gevaar. Dit kunnen we stoppen door samen te strijden tegen onderdrukking en uitbuiting voor een antifascistische toekomst. Er wordt een algemene oproep verspreid.

Voel je vrij om je eigen blok te organiseren en een eigen oproep te schrijven. We hopen in solidariteit met veel verschillende groepen, organisaties en hun gemeenschap, kameraden, familie en vrienden een demo neer te zetten waarop we laten zien dat echte vrijheid iets is waar je voor opkomt. Nooit meer is nu. Laat het ons gerust weten als jullie vragen hebben.

We nodigen expliciet ook anti-imperialistische/anti-kapitalistische BIPOC bewegingen tegen fascisme uit om deel te nemen. Mocht daar ondersteuning in enige vorm voor nodig zijn – laat het ons weten. Om de lange geschiedenis van BIPOC antifascistisch verzet door wereldwijd te erkennen, evenals de inspanningen van kameraden in de strijd tegen fascisme, kolonialisme, witte suprematie en andere vormen van autoritaire overheersing.

Dear Ally/comrades, On Tuesday, May 5th at 6 p.m. at Domplein in Utrecht, we are organizing an anti-fascist demonstration to reclaim so called Liberation Day (5 may).

The idea is to organize a walking demonstration and provide space for soup, food, and stalls at the end point. Fascism, racism, and authoritarianism are a global threat. We can stop this by fighting together against oppression and exploitation for an anti-fascist future. A general call for action will be circulated. Feel free to organize your own block and write your own call for action!

We hope, in solidarity with many different groups, organizations, and their communities, comrades, family, and friends, to hold a demonstration where we show that true freedom is something to stand up for continuously. Never again is now. Please let us know if you have any questions.

We hereby explicitly would like to invite BIPOC-led, anti-imperialist, anti-capitalist resistance movements to be part of this demonstration against fascism. To acknowledge the long history of BIPOC antifascist resistance globally and the labor of comrades in the struggle dismantling fascism, colonialism, white supremacy, and other modes of authoritarian rule.
