On November 9th, we paid a visit to Bagira Systems, located at Jachthavenweg 109H in Amsterdam. We tagged “Bagira simulates genocide” and smashed several windows before disappearing back into the night. Bagira systems is an Israeli company that develops training simulations for the IDF.

On November 9th, we paid a visit to Bagira Systems, located at Jachthavenweg 109H in Amsterdam. We tagged “Bagira simulates genocide” and smashed several windows before disappearing back into the night. Bagira systems is an Israeli company that develops training simulations for the IDF. They train more than 150,000 IDF soldiers annually to “prepare them for the possibility that they would be required to engage in fighting inside the Gaza Strip.” A possibility which became a reality this October when the Israeli military launched a ground offensive in and aerial bombardment on the densely populated Gaza strip. As of this writing the IDF has massacred more than 10,000 Palestinians, primarily civilians, including 4,400 children.
On their website Bagira brags that their training sessions “involve tactical and micro-tactical operations and aspire for the prevailing objective among the ground elements – lethality.” These simulations reduce Palestinian lives to pixels on a screen, dehumanizing them and desensitizing the IDF to the gruesome reality of dropping bombs on hospitals. By designing training simulations in which the IDF can practice killing Palestinians Bagira makes itself complicit in the war crimes committed by the state of Israel.
We were motivated to act by the comrades who previously sprayed red paint on this same Bagira office. We are also inspired by the grass roots resistance of the Palestinian people as well as the direct actions taken within the heart of empire, especially in the UK and US, against Elbit systems. The Israeli settler colonial project is not an abstract concept, it is a material and logistical process and it’s infrastructure is everywhere. We encourage our comrades to blockade, disrupt, sabotage, and attack this infrastructure wherever possible.

Palestine will be free.
