17 oktober, Leiden: meeting “What is settler colonialism?”

“The Zuid-Holland branch of Internationale Socialisten organizes a public meeting with scholar Sai Englert on the question of settler colonialism: what does it mean for a free Palestine?”, says the invite.

It continues: “From the Palestinian struggle against Israeli Apartheid, to First Nations’ mass campaigns against pipeline construction in North Africa, Indigenous peoples are at the forefront of some of the crucial struggles of our age. Rich with their unique histories, characteristics, and social relations, they are connected by the shared enemy they face: settler colonialism. Join the discussion on how to better understand settler colonialism as an ongoing process, and start seeing how distinct struggles for justice and liberation are intertwined.”

Sai Englert wrote the book “Settler Colonialism: an introduction”, published by Pluto Books.
