Solidarity Voku with a single mom and her two kids
- August 29th, 2026
Thursday September 3rd, 2026, Solidarity Voku with a single mom and her two kids. Food served from 7pm, no reservation.
This year, our friend B fled her violent partner with her two children aged 6 and 2. She is trying to establish herself on her own but has no resources. She can’t work because little E has to be looked after (which has a cost). She was refused family government benefits for invalid reasons motivated by anti-Gypsy racism. On top of that, she lives in a remote village without public transport and has neither a license nor a car available, which requires travel expenses.
This situation has gotten to a point where she is in deep distress with no way out and very little support. This is why we are cooking for this voku!
B. also created a fundraiser to be able to meet her basic needs and those of her children (food, diapers, daycare, travel) as well as numerous medical and administrative costs, which will then enable her to work, access a regular income and escape this hell. Meanwhile, she is still under pressure from her ex-partner and his family.
If you want to support/share the fundraiser you can find it on this link: https://www.we-solidaire.com/fr/collecte/soutenir-b-mere-isolee-qui-a-fuit-un-foyer-violent
Any help, even small, is welcome 🙂
