October 17: Disability movie screening

The next disability movie screening is here! This time we are screening and discussing the movie “An open door”, featuring the life of animal welfare activist and autism advocate Temple Grandin Accessibility: – The location has a small ramp and disabled toilet, and space for wheelchair users – The pavement in front of the location is a bit wobbly and has a lot of bikes, but the road next to it is smooth and has barely any cars, and can be used to reach the door – At this event mask usage is encouraged unless you are unable to wear one due to medical reasons. Masks and COVID-tests will be available at the entrance. – The movie is in English with English subtitles – A list with content/trigger warnings is available upon request – Feel free to only join for the discussion part if both the movie and discussion is too much for you (expected time 20:30) Poster description: The poster has a dark grey coloured foreground that is being shattered diagonally showing protesters holding up signs for autism rights, and a background showing the red, yellow, white, light blue and green stripes of the disability pride flag. Amongst the protester pictures is a picture of Temple Grandin herself. The signs of the protesters show messages like “People not puzzles”, “Stop killing us”, “I can speak for myself”, and “Stop misinformation”. The white text on the poster provides the same information as written above.
